Hello,

Trunk Notes 2.0.0 has been submitted to the App Store. This release has lots of new features - including,

* Enable data detection types (so phone numbers, etc will become hyperlinks)
* Allow for longer URLs in the web interface
* New dueinnext function. For example {{dueinnext 7, @todo}} will list all of the @todo actions which have a date sometime in the next 7 days.
* Better searching for text within a page. When you choose a page after searching for text additional controls will appear on the screen allowing you to navigate between the text matches
* Support for PHP Markdown tables
* Faster rendering of pages
* Fix bug when inserting a timestamp and the search bar has focus. This allows you to insert a timestamp into the note name.
* {{action}} function outputs action name in the original case
* Allow any characters in [[ ]] - except for a newline. Please note however that some characters will cause odd effects such as ( ), as these are used in Markdown syntax for creating links.
* New functions - stylesheet, background, random, numnotes, functiondoc, timestamp, backlinks
* Trunk Notes will now respond to the wiki:// protocol
* New page Special:Badge. When Trunk Notes exits it will count the number of level 1 bullet points in this page and display the result as the app badge
* Some updates to the documentation.
* New pages Special:New and Special:List. These will create a new text note, and show the page chooser respectively. So if you add [[Special:New]] to a note, then clicking on the link will create a new page.
* Tables should now display with border, and shading on header row
* Easy New Line option. If this is turned on in the Settings app then you no longer need to put two spaces at the end of a line if you want a line break. This is turned on by default.
* When using back/forward the scroll position will be remembered
* The action function sort order is now changed. Any actions without an explicit priority are assumed to have a priority of 1. Actions are sorted first by priority and then by date
* Cleaner web interface, now includes Markdown preview

There are many features (and a few bug fixes) which haven't made it into this release. However I thought it would be better to get this changes out there, instead of waiting another 4+ weeks for more stuff to be implemented!

Not sure what Apple's wait time is on approvals at the moment - but will probably be around 2 weeks until 2.0.0 is available for download.

Regards,

Matthew
