Handling of PDF is not perfect for me

How could Trunk be improved?

Handling of PDF is not perfect for me

Postby espresso » Wed Jan 25, 2012 10:36 pm

First, I want to say that I am very excited about TN. But there are some suggestions for improvement. A subject area dealing with PDF integration:

The first problem for me is the uploading of PDF files from my work PC to TN. I do not have WiFi, iTunes or Dropbox. The easiest way would be the transmission by e-mail. TN does not support it. I would also love to copy files via USB (without iTunes).

The second problem I have when I create PDF files on the iPhone (for example, with my mind mapping app). How do I get the PDF file in TN? The easiest way would be by "... open in App." TN does not support it. Must I actually go the detour via dropbox or PC?

Dropbox is not my favorite because I not really want to synchronize all files, but would provide only single PDF files in TN. I am also not allowed to store official documents there.

The third problem (not so important) is how to secure PDF files. PDF files are not supported in the backup. So I have to backup the PDF files in addition .

Are there solutions today or are new feature planned that could help me?

Thank you for feedback.

It would be very helpful if it were possible to pass PDF files from another iOS-app to Trunk Notes. This is also addressed in many other topics bevore. I think such a feature are many users wish for.

I miss this feature still. Are there any other users who could use it?

+1

I'd certainly benefit from making it easier to integrate/transfer PDF files with trunknote.

I have not had much use for importing pdf files so far in my efforts with Trunk Notes, but I love the way the app formats text and would like to see the capability to export a pdf of a page.
