FAQ

What is the Wi-Fi Share username and password?

The default username and password is trunk and password.

It is highly recommended that you change these:

  1. Start the iPhone/iPod Touch Settings app
  2. Scroll to where the individual apps are listed (near the bottom)
  3. Tap Trunk Notes
  4. Under the heading Authentication you can change the username and password

Wi-Fi Share isn't working!

There are a number of reasons why you might not be able to connect to Trunk Notes from your PC/Mac:

  • Trunk Notes needs to stay in Wi-Fi Share Mode in order that you can access it
  • You must type in the entire address shown on your iPhone/iPod Touch screen. E.g. 'http://192.168.1.8:10000'
  • Your desktop firewall may be blocking access. To confirm whether this is the case try temporarily disabling your firewall
  • If both your iPhone/iPod Touch and Mac/PC access the network via wi-fi you must have peer-to-peer access enabled on your wi-fi router. You may have layer 2 isolation enabled on your wi-fi router. This stops devices on the same network from talking to each other. This is commonly enabled in hotels and airports, but some office/home routers may also have this option
